Abstraction burst from the constraints of studied realism in the form of
fragments of the nude. The figure is sectionalized into nearly sculptural elements,
collapsing the third dimension to the extreme edges of the canvas. Spatial illusion and the
configuration of form and format become inseparable and interdependent.
